License & Intellectual Property Policy

The SmartLogoz platform — including its software, user interface, backend infrastructure, badge generation engine, search algorithms, and the OurBloc application — is the exclusive intellectual property of SmartLogoz, LLC, protected by U.S. copyright law, trade secret law, and applicable international IP treaties.

Your subscription grants you a limited license to use the Services as described in our Terms of Service. It does not grant you any ownership interest in the platform or its underlying technology.

SmartLogoz has developed a proprietary system of community symbols (the "Symbol System") used to visually represent ownership identity attributes on business badges. These symbols — including their design, encoding, and composition logic — are original works owned by SmartLogoz, LLC and protected under U.S. copyright and design patent law.

What you may do with community symbols:

• Display the composite badge (your logo + SmartLogoz symbols) on your business profiles, social media, website, and marketing materials as permitted by your subscription.
• Use the badge as your profile image on third-party platforms.

What you may not do:

• Extract, reproduce, or redistribute the community symbols separately from your composite badge.
• Create derivative works of the Symbol System or replicate the symbol designs.
• Claim ownership of any SmartLogoz symbol or the composite system.
• Use the symbols after your subscription ends or your account is terminated.

You retain full ownership of the logo you upload ("Your Logo"). SmartLogoz does not claim any ownership interest in Your Logo.

License you grant to SmartLogoz: By uploading Your Logo, you grant SmartLogoz, LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

• Process, resize, and composite Your Logo with community symbols to generate your badge.
• Store Your Logo and badge composites on our servers.
• Display your badge on the OurBloc platform in connection with your business listing.
• Generate and serve export variants of your badge to you.

This license is limited to the purpose of delivering the Services and does not extend to any other use of Your Logo.

Your warranty: By uploading Your Logo, you warrant that you own it or have all necessary rights to use it, and that its use on SmartLogoz does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. You agree to indemnify SmartLogoz against any claims arising from a breach of this warranty.

The composite badge (your logo combined with SmartLogoz symbols) is a joint work. You own the portion represented by Your Logo; SmartLogoz owns the symbol and compositional elements. Your subscription license entitles you to use the composite badge during your active subscription period.

Upon account termination or subscription expiry, your right to use composite badges incorporating SmartLogoz symbols terminates. You retain the right to continue using Your Logo without the badge elements.

"SmartLogoz," "OurBloc," and associated logos and marks are trademarks of SmartLogoz, LLC. You may not use our trademarks in a manner that implies endorsement, partnership, or affiliation beyond what is expressly authorized. Referring to our platform by name in a factual, non-misleading context (e.g., "Verified on SmartLogoz") is permitted.

If you believe that content on SmartLogoz or OurBloc infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to legal@smartlogoz.com including:

• A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
• The URL or location of the allegedly infringing content.
• Your contact information.
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that use is not authorized.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices within 5 business days.

SmartLogoz's community symbol embedding and structured identity object system may be the subject of pending U.S. patent applications. Unauthorized reproduction of the system or its methods is prohibited.
